Artist Brandi L.Hickman recieves two awards for her oil painting "Dandelion" in "The Christmas With The Arts" juried event. Hickman won a ribbon for Peoples Choice Award and 2nd place ribbon from the judges. Congratulations

Painter Brandi Hickman Is Showing At Arts Clayton

Mcdonough, GA - May 24th, 2012

Artist Brandi Hickman will be showing four of her oil paintings on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 5:30pm. The Art show is titled "Travel America". Hickman chose some of her paintings from her Chilldren's Series. They are "Dandelion", Playful Reflections", "Balancing Act" and "Jubilation". The artist's choice for these were in her words "There's no better way to travel than through the mind of a child ". The works will hang in Arts Clayton Jonesboro GA for two months. The Artist will be at the reception opening night.

Advertisement As a full-time mother to three children, Henry resident Brandi Hickman manages to carve out precious time for her pastime: landscape painting. Hickman thinks her appreciation for Mother Nature has been innate because she grew up in Douglas, surrounded by nature. “I just love scenery,” she said. “I was always outdoors when I was younger and I love landscapes. When I go outside, I see a lot of color. There’s color in everything.
